Northcliffe Media, a leading regional news and information publisher and part of DMGT (Daily Mail General Trust), has appointed Nelson Bostock Communications to support its business to business PR programme in the UK. Nelson Bostock won the account following a three-way competitive pitch.
Northcliffe Media has built upon its role as one of the UK’s largest regional news publishers and established itself as a fully integrated multimedia news and information provider. Operating from multiple publishing centres across the UK, it publishes in excess of 100 newspaper titles each week and operates a growing network of 56 local media websites. The company has recently expanded its online portfolio with user generated content (UGC) and it is set to launch more digital offerings in the near future.
The PR brief is to build brand awareness for Northcliffe Media primarily amongst national and local display and classified advertising communities and includes the ongoing promotion of Northcliffe’s classified brands, Jobsite, Findaproperty and Motors.co.uk.
Sean Mahon, Director of Marketing at Northcliffe Media comments: “These are exciting times for Northcliffe as we look to expand our digital offering and continue to grow our online and offline audiences in the UK. We need to work with an agency that not only understands our business and the challenges we face, but which also has expert knowledge in the media sector – Nelson Bostock fitted the bill.”
Simon Glazer, Director of Nelson Bostock’s Corporate Division said: “This is an excellent win for the Corporate team at Nelson Bostock and we are excited about working with one of the leading regional publishing groups in the UK. Northcliffe Media is leading the way in local digital content, whilst maintaining its strong heritage in traditional print media, and PR will help support the company’s ongoing growth.”
