Northcliffe Media earns seven nominations at O2 Media Awards

The shortlist for the O2 Media Awards for Yorkshire and The Humber has revealed seven nominations for Northcliffe Media.

Leading the pack is the Hull Daily Mail which is in the running for the coveted Newspaper of the Year award.

Journalists for the Northcliffe daily have also been shortlisted in four categories, including Kevin Shoesmith for Reporter of the Year, James Smailes for Sports Journalist of the Year, and Joanna Hunter for Digital Journalist of the Year. The final nomination goes to Adam Lovell, who is named alongside colleague Selina Maycock of the Scunthorpe Telegraph in the Young Journalist of the Year (Dailies) category.

The final Northcliffe nomination goes to the Grimsby Telegraph's Jon Corken who is shortlisted for Photographer of the Year.

The awards ceremony will be held on Thursday, January 15, at O2's office in Leeds.
